Hi have a Camcorder jJVC-GRD50AA-come into the shop with an odd fault loads up normal. But wont go into operation mode  display screen says - E03 remove tape and reinsert then 5 secs later then display says E03 unit is in safeguard mode. if reinsert within 5 secs  still the same.. any ideas would be much appreciated.

jvc has a problem if you use tapes other than jvc try cleaning heads make sure tape is not slack remove & refit battery & check.if that fails try tap test its a common fault

make sure tape path is clean, especially drum, also check reel tables are not bent, you can check by running mech when camera in pieces.
