Customer complaint of poor recorded picture.. Inspection of heads and clean still resulted in poor picture with horizontal streaking on any vertical bright pictures. Any one know if this unit has common power supply faults before I go any further... DVD picture fine

You'll notice SQPB written on the front panel. Go into the user menu (FUNCTIONS), find the SQPB feature and turn it off. Has been mentioned several times on the forum. Do another test recording and all should be sweet.
